Cookie Policy

Last updated: July 20, 2026  ·  Effective: July 20, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies ChatSorter uses, why, and how you can control them. The short version: we use one cookie, it keeps you logged in, we have no advertising or tracking cookies.

What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored in your browser when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember information about your visit — like whether you're logged in — so you don't have to re-enter it on every page.

Cookies We Use

Cookie Type Set by Purpose Expires
firebase:authUser Essential Firebase (Google) Stores your authentication session so you stay logged into the ChatSorter dashboard. Without this cookie the login system cannot function. Session / until logout
cs_theme Essential ChatSorter Remembers your dashboard theme preference (dark/light) across sessions. 1 year

What We Don't Use

ChatSorter does not use:

  • Advertising or marketing cookies
  • Analytics cookies (Google Analytics, Mixpanel, etc.)
  • Social media tracking pixels
  • Third-party remarketing cookies
  • Cross-site tracking of any kind

Essential Cookies Cannot Be Disabled

The cookies listed above are strictly necessary for the Service to function. Because they are essential, they do not require your consent under most privacy laws. You can disable them in your browser settings, but doing so will prevent you from logging in to the ChatSorter dashboard.

Managing Cookies

You can manage or delete cookies through your browser settings. Instructions for common browsers:

  • Chrome
  • Firefox
  • Safari
  • Edge

Changes to This Policy

If we ever add new cookies — for example if we add analytics — we will update this page and notify users before setting any new non-essential cookies.
